MixVibes Producer 7.2

This software provides all the right DJ tools, but it suffers from some stability quirks. MixVibes' interface comes preloaded with a variety of skins to capture your mood. Though the included help manual is from a previous version and is a mere nine pages, many functions are obvious to anyone who has worked with two turntables and a microphone. Loading your favorite sound file takes almost no time, and files start with the precision of a CD player. Discovering file beats per minute is easily accomplished on file load or in real time. Mixing, scratching, and other necessary functions are easily accessible. During testing, some of the rack functions failed to load, but changing skins and restarting the program restored the display. This software handles numerous sound cards, connects to external controllers, and includes functions available in more expensive software. The 20-day demo gives you plenty of time to test the turntable layouts, though you can't record your mix. While you won't be mixing like Danger Mouse, aspiring DJs or anyone interested in the art form will find that MixVibes hits the right note.
